After reviewing site investigation data and identifying client priorities, potential alternatives for addressing contamination are identified and engineered by the design team. Each of these remedial alternatives are evaluated by the team for their effectiveness in regards to cost, duration of implementation and cleanup, required resources, site access, restrictions, permitting issues, hazards, and downstream liabilities.

PE has executed remedial designs for the abatement of hazardous materials or the remediation of soils contaminated with heavy metals (lead, arsenic, mercury, and chromium), hydrocarbons, asbestos, solvents, pesticides and insecticides, PCBs, volatile and semi-volatile compounds, cinders, ash, demolition debris, chlorinated compounds, and other miscellaneous materials.
